M.A Capstone Project:
Emirates x Aman – Aman Aero Suites ( Powered by Emirates)

Aman Aero Suites – Powered by Emirates is a proposed co-branded wellness sanctuary embedded within the Emirates lounge ecosystem at Dubai International Airport (DXB), designed to redefine ground experience for premium travelers. It responds to a structural shift in luxury, where affluent consumers are prioritizing travel, wellness, and hospitality over goods, and where the Middle East is capturing a growing share of that experiential spend. While Emirates has set benchmarks in the air with its A380 suites, shower spas, and on-board bar, its lounges face capacity strain at peak times and offer only fragmented, outsourced wellness services, leaving a gap versus competitors who are already partnering with beauty and spa brands.

Aman Aero Suites positions Emirates as the first airline to offer a sanctuary-grade recovery space inside a lounge, going beyond typical spa menus toward evidence-informed rest, rehydration, circadian support, and mental decompression between flights. Aman contributes three decades of expertise in creating serene, place-rooted environments, adapted here into a modular, capital-efficient format that can plug into existing Emirates lounge footprints and scale across hubs. For Aman, the concept extends the brand into aviation without overextending its resort model, complementing its pipeline of Dubai openings, branded residences, fashion collaborations, and ultra-luxury journeys at sea.

The project is grounded in mixed-method research. Secondary research mapped both brands against the competitive landscape using tools such as the marketing mix, Kapferer Brand Identity Prism, and Business Model Canvas, alongside analysis of the global airport lounge market (projected to exceed USD 10.5 billion by 2026), wellness tourism growth, and airport dynamics in Dubai, Doha, and Singapore. Primary research included expert interviews with Emirates stakeholders and international lounge and service design specialists, plus focus groups with premium leisure and affluent hybrid travelers, which validated willingness to pay in the USD 300–500+ range per session for meaningful, time-efficient recovery. These insights shape Aman Aero Suites as a commercially viable, brand-accretive concept that creates new value at the intersection of aviation, wellness, and luxury hospitality.
