Ruby Knitwear is a sourcing and supply chain–driven concept brand inspired by the operational rigor of global leaders such as H&M and Uniqlo, but positioned in the upper-premium women’s basics space. Designed to deliver one million knit tops annually into the U.S. market, Ruby focuses on timeless essentials—tanks, tees, polos, and turtlenecks—crafted in a proprietary Lycot blend and retailing between 75 and 130 USD. The brand targets affluent urban women in Austin, Chicago, and Savannah who demand both comfort and credible proof of ethical manufacturing, using transparency as a primary differentiator.

The project maps a fully integrated, multi-country sourcing and distribution strategy built around 12 verified suppliers across four production geographies, including near-shore partners in Honduras and Peru and far-shore capacity in Thailand, with an additional supplier base in Pakistan. All facilities are required to be FLA/WRAP-certified with annual third-party audits, real-time traceability dashboards, and clear reporting on wages, hours, and workplace safety, mirroring and tightening the codes of conduct and supplier standards used by leading global fast-fashion and specialty apparel players. Ruby’s sourcing guidelines enforce multi-country diversification to balance cost, lead time, and risk, while supporting low-MOQ test runs that can be scaled as demand grows.

To move one million SKUs efficiently from mills to wardrobes, the supply chain design layers these ethical sourcing hubs with U.S.-based 3PL partners such as GXO, DHL, and Saddle Creek, enabling flexible warehousing and distribution into the brand’s target cities. Year-on-year financial projections show controlled scale-up, from 1.0 million in Year 1 revenue to 1.7 million by Year 3, underpinned by disciplined volume planning, route optimization, and capacity alignment across suppliers and logistics providers. Throughout, Ruby’s mission, vision, and core values—accountability, transparency, credible collaborations, and responsible sourcing—act as governance tools, ensuring that every operational decision, from yarn selection to final-mile delivery, reinforces the promise that style, comfort, and conscience can move together.
